3 Month Mark
We have officially changed Buckbeak's name to Milky Way. For some reason anyone who hadn't read or seen Harry Potter was having great difficulty with the name, calling him all sorts of things like "Buckwheat" and "Bloodbeak." I call him Milky or MilkyMoo most of the time. I tried calling him Buckbeak a couple of weeks ago, but he attacked me - so he stays Milky! Milky has become much more relaxed around us. Unfortunately, he still can't interact with our other cats without violence. I've brought him out of his room and will hold him so they can all look at each other, but if I let him go, he tries to go after one of them. That plus the fact that the other two cats are scared of him don't give me much hope of a co-habitating future. Then there is the other issue - when we let him out of his room to freely roam around (when the other cats are outside), Milky pees on stuff - like our bed (!!!) and the antique sofa (!!!!!!!!!) which is not acceptable...
